Air France is to operate the A380 during the summer period on flights between Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, it has announced.

     In a special weekend-only timetable, the airline will fly the “superjumbo” between the two airports from Saturday 12 June until Monday 30 August. The aircraft will be assigned to flights AF1980 and AF1981 during the weekends from Saturday until Monday. This will also include all Fridays during the month of July.

     Henri Hourcade, General Manager, Air France KLM UK and Ireland, said ‘We’re thrilled to have our flagship aircraft on the London to Paris route. During the Summer, the demand for our services from London to France or to connect with our global network is always extremely high”.

    Flight AF1980 will depart Paris-CDG at 10:05 arriving into London at 10:25 local time, and flight AF1981 will depart London Heathrow at 12:50 arriving in Paris at 15:05 local time.
