On February 26, 2010
Home and body cosmetic brand Rituals has opened its first airport store at Heathrow’s terminal 4.
The 45sq m (484sq ft) outlet offers a range of premium products such as nourishing face and body creams, pure tea, scented candles and gemstone make-up designed to transform daily routines into more meaningful rituals. The Netherlands-based brand is available in 10 countries with more than 100 stores and around 250 shop-in-shops in cities such as Berlin, Prague, Lisbon and London.
Rituals founder Raymond Cloosterman said: “Rituals aims to be a ‘journey for senses’ so where better to open a store than at Heathrow, one of the world’s busiest and best-connected international airports. The store will offer passengers a peaceful haven where they can sample our products, enjoy a hand massage or have their make-up done while sipping a cup of white tea.”
BAA retail concessions director Brian Woodhead added: “Rituals has built a strong and loyal following since its first store opened in 2000 so we are delighted to be able to offer its much-admired range of home and cosmetic products to our passengers. We are continually looking at ways of enhancing people’s experience at Heathrow and believe the latest premium addition in this stand-out terminal will deliver a service that works in harmony with passengers’ needs and meets our long-term commitment of making every journey better.”
The launch of Rituals in T4 follows the unveiling of the building’s new look retail offering, following a £200m ($306m) terminal redevelopment programme.
